1 · Clock in
The shift carries its hours, its area and any note from the rota. Clocking in is the only control on the card, because at seven in the morning it is the only thing anybody wants to do.
This is the last screen with five tabs on it. Clocking in swaps the whole app to the round — the other screens are not hidden, they are not loaded, so nothing can reach them by accident.
2 · Work the round
Each resident is four steps — medicines, stock, note, done — and medicines cannot be stepped past while any are outstanding.
The chips under a medicine are its slots. Morning and Night are two separate doses of the same drug on the same day, kept apart on the record, which is what lets the server refuse a repeat without refusing a legitimate second dose.
3 · Scan & give
Scanning the pack is the only route to given, and the server re-checks the barcode rather than trusting the phone. Every other outcome — refused, asleep, in hospital — is a reason code, printed on the MAR chart as its letter.
A dose can be recorded once per slot per day. A second attempt is refused and names who signed for it and when, even if two phones fire a moment apart.
4 · Vitals, notes, and the next resident
Observations that are due sit above the medicines, because a set taken after the round is a set taken with the doses already given. It prompts and never blocks — “not now” is a real answer.
Then stock, a care note while the carer still remembers how it went, and the next resident by name.

For the pharmacy's own drivers. Today's run in order, what is in each delivery, and a signature or photo captured at the door.

About the apps.
Which phones do the apps run on?
Both are native apps for iOS and Android. They run on the phone your staff and drivers already carry — no dedicated hardware, no scanner gun.
Do staff need their own login?
Yes, and it is included. Every carer has their own account, so every entry on the record carries their name. Staff logins are unlimited and do not affect your price.
Does the staff app work without signal?
The apps need a connection to record a dose, because the scan is verified on the server and a dose can only be signed for once. Losing signal mid-round does not lose what you have already recorded.
What is the witness PIN?
A second member of staff confirms a controlled drug with their own short PIN at the trolley. Their name is stored on the entry so the chart shows both signatures afterwards.
